My preference is usually to read something rather than watch a video or listen to a podcast. However over the last year or so I’ve started listening to more podcasts and audio books. About 6 or 7 years ago I was living on a Greek Island and went through a stint then of listening to audio books since accessing any books in English was a challenge, never mind accessing the business books I wanted to read!
After that I reverted back to hard copies or Kindle but recently I found some podcasts that had episode content I was interested in. Reading a transcript for them wasn’t an option so I was forced back into audio. I actually found that I often enjoyed listening to podcasts while I was at the gym, out for my daily walk (that was intended to encourage me to switch off and disconnect – oops) or doing general things around the house so it’s all ended up seeming like a good use of time.
My default is to go back to reading though so I asked my Facebook followers which podcasts they liked to listen to as inspiration for me. Here are the results, in no particular order, coupled with a few of my own recommendations.
