Clutter can be really difficult to deal with because usually it's a repesentation of what's going on, on the inside.

Sometimes clutter just accumulates through life and then we never get round to putting time aside to deal with it. 

However it normally builds up because:

  • You aren't good at (or avoid) making decisions
  • You're worried what others will think or say if you get rid of certain things
  • You're worried you'll regret letting go of something
  • You feel guilty about putting the time aside to declutter
  • You're creating a distracton so you don't have to think about what you really want
  • You're buying things to make yourself feel better  

Even if it is just every day "stuff" that's built up, the fact that you're not putting enough value on yourself to make time to deal with it, is telling. (A sudy by the UCLA's Centre on Everyday Lives and Families found a direct link between women's stress levels and a high density of household items, so it's absolutely not a waste of time to deal with it!)

I can tell you that decluttering does something magical:

  • Life is simpler and easier when you can take the direct route instead of moving piles of stuff or climbing round things 
  • It helps create a calm sanctuary in which to live
  • It brings focus and productivity 
  • Stagnant energy is released and a weight is lifted allowing fresh, new energy to surge in
  • It makes room for all types of abundance
  • What we truly want from our lives emerges from under the clutter
  • New found confidence appears in ourselves, our decison making and our own life desires

  •  “just in case” you might use things again 
  • you tie up your identity in belongings or find they bring security through comfort (gifts, memories etc)

It's no ordinary declutter course where you're just prescribed set systems to clear each room. Although purely clearing the physical clutter can release internal/mental clutter for sure, to an extent it's also only addressing the symptoms.

This course is for you if you want to get to know yourself well enough (and believe in yourself enough) to address the real reasons you have clutter so you can eliminate it forever. We'll do way more than just scratch the surface on how to tidy your stuff and, crucially, you'll have support and accountability throughout the programme.

Of course I'll give you strategies for tackling the physical clutter and organising the beloved posessions that are left. However this is holistic decluttering where we take a look at mental clutter too and incorporate elements of Feng Shui, essential oils and subtle energies like crystals to support your journey.

This 9-module goup programme runs over 10 weeks.

Modules 1 & 2

Defining Your Decluttered Life and Where You Are Starting From

Look, in the first couple of modules I don't even make you declutter!! We set the foundations of why you're on this journey and understand your intentions behind it.

Being absolutely clear on why you're doing the course and what you want to get out of it are paramount to your lasting success.

This is the beginning of getting your life into alignment with what you really, truly want. Yes, we'll go a bit deep here because remember, the clutter's never about the "stuff" it's all about what's happening on the inside.

Module 3

Physical Decluttering Part 1

Now that we're getting started on the practicalities of decluttering. I'll introduce you to a variety of systems so we can work out the best way of decluttering for you (it's not a one-size fits all approach).

This module is going to show you how to address your clutter and work through it in a way that won't send you straight into overwhelm.

We'll look at why your decluttering may not have worked in the past and introduce you to new perspectives on decision making with your clutter. 

You'll have plenty of time to work through your space. 

Module 4

Physical Decluttering Part 2 Incorporating Self-Care 

Undeniably some belongings are harder to part with than others.

In this module we'll address decluttering sentimental items and gifts.

As with the other modules you'll be able to access support directly from me through the weekly coaching calls (perhaps the biggest factor in helping you succeed this time?).

We'll also address your tendancy to put everyone else first and look at why it's justified (in fact necessary) to make time to look after yourself so you can be the best you can be.

Module 5

Setting Up Your Space

Sometimes clutter acculates in spaces because it's not easy to put back or the current storage isn't quite right.

You probably already have all the storage you need, you may just not be using it optimally.

In this module we'll look at storage techniques and the organisation of your space. Getting this right is another way of making things easy in the future and will help you keep on top of clutter long-term.

The self-care theme continues through this module too, as this could be one of the hardest habits for you to take on board.

Module 6

Addressing Mental Clutter

We often forget about the clutter that steals our mental energy.

All those unclosed loops and unfinished jobs drain you everytime you think of them or notice them.

In this module we'll make some little changes with big effects.

Needless to say the self-care theme continues as we declutter negative self-talk and over-commitments. 

Module 7

Setting Up Your Space Part 2

In this module we continue decluttering, this time on the chemicals and energies front.

We'll look at ways to set up your space to make your home healthier using natural items and subtle energies.

The aim is to declutter and counteract the harmful effects of everyday household chemicals and pollutants (which you may not even be aware of) including electromagenetic fields from electrical and digital items.

Module 8

Digital Declutter

Hands up who's stressed by the volume of digital clutter you encounter on a daily basis!

In this module you'll learn how to reduce the clutter and overwhelm of email and other digital clutter.

We'll also look at digital/social media induced comparisonitis removing that aspect of mental clutter too.

Module 9

Your Decluttered Life

Throughout the course we'll revist your decluttered life vision often. However this module is dedicated to ensuring you're clear on your next steps.

Under all that clutter is usually a germ of an idea to do something different with your life, whether it's to start a business, retrain in another area, start a new hobby, find a partner, travel the world or start some kind of passion project or quest. 

This vision is likely to have become much clearer and reachable with the work you've done over the previous weeks. We'll identify what other support you need to set you on your way before we part.

VIP OPTION

1:1 Support

The modules are delivered online weekly with the exception of module 3 where we spend two weeks working through it.

The modules are not mammoth overwelming tomes. The idea is very much that you take the information you need and then go and apply it practically.

You'll have access to weekly group calls for live support and coaching (with replays available). However if you feel the need for even more personalised support you have the VIP option for this.

VIP clients will recieve an additional 5x 60-minute private calls with me. These are intended to be a mixture of coaching and virtual decluttering support but you can use them as you feel helps you best.
