Is your cluttered and disorganised home stressing you out and slowing you down?

Does decluttering get put on the “should” list but something else always takes priority?

Perhaps it feels completely overwhelming and previous attempts to tackle it have failed.

It might seem silly to hire a professional organiser to help you "tidy up" when you could just do it yourself. However decluttering can be hard work and emotionally intense. It's usually much easier with an extra pair of hands, a sympathetic ear and someone who can help you make rational decisions.

I can tell you that decluttering does something magical:

  • Life is simpler and easier when you can take the direct route instead of moving piles or climbing round things
  • Creating a calming space for working or reading is much easier without piles of clutter everywhere
  • Stagnant energy is released allowing fresh, new energy to surge in
  • A weight is often lifted as old, redundant feelings leave with their associated belongings
  • Homes are sold more readily

Put simply, clutter could be described as

  • things you no longer use or enjoy
  • too many items in a small space
  • things which are disorganised
  • anything left unfinished

"The space in which we live should be for the person we are becoming now, not for the person we were in the past." Marie Kondo

Keeping things that aren't used or enjoyed can cause stress, and cluttered, obstructed areas steal a little bit of energy every time you look at them (or bump into them or trip over them...).

There are lots of reasons you might keep hold of clutter:

  •  “just in case” you might use things again
  • you tie up your identity in belongings or find they bring security through comfort (gifts, memories etc)
  • you may have had a lack of things in the past so feel secure by having lots of stuff now
  • you may feel guilty about getting rid of things that were gifts or inherited
  • perhaps you have little sentimental attachment, the amount of “stuff” in your home has just grown through having children or just from life, and time has been too precious to take spend taking action on it

I can help you with these!

"The end results made me want to cry a little with relief more than anything. I am so charged up and ready to tackle the rest of the house. I feel full of ideas and strategies and enthusiasm and it feels do-able now."

Becky Goddard-Hill, Life Coach & Blogger, Nottingham

Hi I'm Suzie and I've been described by a client as a "patient, grounded, Scot"! I help entrepreneurs, busy mums and professionals declutter their homes (and offices) and breathe a sigh of relief.

Most of my clients have struggled to tackle their clutter on their own, despite their best intentions. If you're not great at organising and/or have a lot of emotion surrounding your belongings, it's easy to get overwhelmed quickly.

I'm skilled at helping you make rational decisions that feel good. We work together so you can decide what to keep and what to let go of, what you love and what you don't.

I'm naturally organised and have a background in operations management so we can work together to create a space that makes you feel lighter and calmer and flows more efficiently for you.

I can work with you in a few different ways so have a look below to see which might be best for you.

"Wow. Just thank you. Life changing."

FAQs

I've tried to declutter before. Why will it be different with you?

I can help take you through a rational thought process that can be tricky to do on your own (or with a family member helping) due to the emotions attached to your possesions. This way it will be much easier for you to make decisions.

How do you know what to declutter?

Mostly you already know what you want to let go of, I just give you permission to do so!

Do I have to be there?

Although I roll up my sleeves and and get stuck in with you (for the in-person packages) you also need to be present. It's important for you to go through the process as it will help you in the future. Besides, only you know which items make you happy.

Are there any other costs involved?

Additional travel costs may apply if I'm not local to you. I'm currently based in Nottingham, UK. however we can discuss this when you get in touch as I am mobile and travelling globally throughout 2018.
